Class Description
The course provides students with the basic hands-on skills and knowledge that a business professional is expected to understand and use, with an emphasis on the internet. Students will develop databases, evaluate web site designs, generate web site icons and graphics, and explore digital/multimedia careers that may interest them.

The growth of the Internet and the expansion of the multimedia portion of the Internet have generated a variety of occupations. Internet developers or web developers are responsible for day-to-day site design and creation.
Employment of information security analysts, web developers, and computer network architects is projected to grow 32 percent from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations. Job prospects for all three occupations should be favorable.
The median annual wage of information security analysts was $99,730 in 2019.
The median annual wage of web developers was $73,760 in 2019.
The median annual wage of computer network architects was $112,690 in 2019.
